Breanna Harris

Laws and Legal Systems: I am highly aware of the laws and policies surrounding higher education through my course work in Parameters of Law in Student Affairs and Higher Education.  I have began to understand the regulations and laws of the country and state that influence and govern higher education.

Ethical and Inclusive Application of Policy: I have aided in the creation of policies and procedures throughout my graduate work in Downing Student Union.  I practice a fair and equitable enforcement of the policies in place, and I strive to ensure each student directly affected by the policies I took part in creating is positively impacted by the outcomes for said procedures.

Civic Engagement: I strive to show each person around me that we have a distinct and powerful voice separately and together.  I use of this voice can affect real change inside and outside of the University setting.  I encourage others to participate in civil discourse about challenging topics, and I incorporate the best practices of my profession in everything that I do.
