  • Understanding Theory: I have studied developmental theories in depth in "Student Development in Higher Education." This course discussed many theories including Chickering's Theory of Identity Development, Marcia's Identity Statuses, and Schlossberg's Transition Theory to name a few.

  • Design and Application: I have the ability to utilize learning goals to create intentional learning strategies and opportunities for the students I service.  When I implement monthly student staff trainings, I am able to follow a plan for each lesson provided throughout the academic year.

  • Assessment and Integration: I frequently participate and encourage those around me to evaluate the effectiveness of learning and teaching in the educational setting.  I am working on teaching, training, and practicing the use of assessment of learning outcomes in order to inform future practices.
